Je moet echt heel ruim van tevoren reserveren om een plaats te bemachtigen. De ongedwongen benadering van Pascalle en bediening oogst alleen maar lof. Je voelt je vanaf het moment dat je binnenkomt totdat je weggaat door iedereen van het personeel een gewaarde gast. En dan wat er uit de keuken van Chef-kok Marcus en zijn jonge enthousiaste team komt is niet mis. Duurzaamheid, het tegengaan van verspilling, werken met groente uit eigen tuin en regionale producten staan hier hoog in het vaandel. Meteen al een compliment voor het verrukkelijke huisgebakken brood. Dan begint het proeven van een parade aan amuses. We hadden gekozen voor het Aspergemenu (5). We waren weer diep onder de indruk van de fraai ogende en heerlijke gerechten. De creatieve hoogstandjes zijn voor ons weer een chapeau waard. Aan elke gang was weer veel aandacht besteed. Zowel aan de combinatie van ingrediënten als aan de presentatie. De bijbehorende dranksuggesties die verschillen per gerecht zijn uitermate complementair aan de spijzen die je voorgeschoteld krijgt. Ook de gangen onderling zijn goed op elkaar afgestemd. Perfecte timing van alle gerechten en pauzes. Als je bepaalde allergieën aangeeft of bepaalde dingen niet lust, wordt je menu zonder meer aangepast. Zeker een aanbeveling om hier met een intiem gezelschap of met z’n twee een aantal uur te vertoeven, op het gemak genieten. Het is echt een verrijkende ervaring voor het oog en de tong. Service is uitstekend. Qua prijs absoluut niet overdreven hoog geprijsd voor dit kwaliteits niveau. Als u een avond gastronomisch verwend wilt worden dan is dit restaurant een aanrader. Wij komen hier zo graag.

About Herberg Stevensweert
Herberg Stevensweert is located on the market in the core of picturesque Stevensweert. In the heart of Central Limburg, on the island in the river Meuse.
Marcus Schmidt has been cooking the stars from heaven here since 1996. His wife Pascalle ensures that the people in the restaurant lack nothing.
Based on French cuisine, using vegetables from his own vegetable garden and buying in a lot from local suppliers, Marcus creates a varied menu that also caters to guests' vegetarian and vegan needs.
If you are a lover of asparagus, this is definitely the place to be. The asparagus from Central Limburg are unique and taste delicious! Chef Marcus likes to introduce you to the 'white gold' in his carefully composed menu.
