Gisteren met een goede vriendin hier gegeten. De amuses en gerechtjes waren ronduit super en beter dan ik bij een bekend 2 sterren restaurant heb gegeten. Stuk voor stuk smaak bommetjes. Als we al een lichte voorkeur hadden voor een amuse en gerecht waren dat respectievelijk de cornetto van zwarte knoflook met tzatz...

Stuk voor stuk smaak bommetjes. Als we al een lichte voorkeur hadden voor een amuse en gerecht waren dat respectievelijk de cornetto van zwarte knoflook met tzatziki en komkommer en het gerecht met rode mul. Deze laatste begeleid door een blende uit de Elzas van Riesling en Pinot gris. Maar al de gerechtjes (wij hadden er 7 genomen) waren super. Wat een leuk idee was dat alle amuses en gerechtjes door iemand van de keuken brigade aan tafel werden gebracht en door hen uitleg werd gegeven. Dat de sfeer wat minder was kwam grotendeels door het feit dat er maar heel weinig tafeltjes waren bezet. De bediening was enthousiast en kundig.
Ik wil iedereen adviseren hier nog snel te gaan eten voordat zij hun ster(ren) hebben want dan zal het prijstechnisch wel eens een ander verhaal kunnen worden :-)
Het restaurant heeft een fantastische ligging aan het Pannerdens Kanaal (=Rijn). Op deze mooie najaarsmiddag konden we onze (after lunch) koffie op het royale terras drinken. De lunch zelf was een verrassende openbaring. De amuses waren niet alleen prachtige plaatjes, maar ook zeer smaakvol met bijzondere ingrediënt...

Alle 4 gangen waren van top kwaliteit : licht , verrassend en zeer smakelijk. De website laat het nodige zien over de ingrediënten. Maar dat een stukje schol zo lekker kan smaken tart elke verbeelding. Ja, inderdaad waren er een paar kleine schoonheidsfoutjes, maar overall was het niveau bijzonder hoog. Iedereen moet op korte termijn maar een bezoekje brengen, want hier worden de sterren van de hemel gekookt en dat zal geen geheim blijven.
