Dit is echter geen voorbode van de rest van de avond, want alles was zeer goed verzorgd. Het eten was top, ieder gerecht is een feestje op je bord, en het waren zeer smaakvolle combinaties. Ook aan de vooraf aangegeven menuwensen wordt goed voldaan, daar hadden ze steeds een leuk, en lekker, alternatief voor. Bij het menu hadden enkel van ons een wijnarrangement, met lekkere wijnen bij elkaar gerecht, met bij iedere wijn een uitleg over de herkomst en de smaak. Kortom....alles was top, en we komen hier vast en zeer nog een( of meerdere ) keren terug.
Ik was een beetje sceptisch vooraf. Ik hou niet zo van verrassingsmenu's maar ach, ik mocht vooraf aangeven waar ik niet van houd. Behalve dat de kok mijn 'liever niet' lijstje perfect gerespecteerd heeft, heeft hij ook nog gezorgd voor een culinair hoogstandje. Van 4 gangen hebben we niks gemerkt. Ja, ze kwamen wel door die vier gangen maar daarnaast ook allerlei liflafjes, amuses en tongpleasers. De vrouw van de kok kwam telkens uitleggen wat we kregen en wat me vooral opviel is dat alle losse ingrediënten proefbaar waren. Dus geen laffe blend maar de verschillende smaakjes ieder voor zich en samen. En mijn lievelingsdruif (Shiraz) maakte het feestje compleet.Toppie
