Bij Bar Gui gegeten via Dining with the Stars. Uitstekend geluncht.

About Bar Gui
Bar Gui on Prinsengracht in Amsterdam is the new culinary hotspot of chef Guillaume de Beer, known from the Breda Group. In the cozy cellar of the former Café Bistro de Fles, De Beer cooks his life story. Every dish on the menu has a connection to his life and career. The cooking style is simple, focusing on the product. No excessive flavors, foams, or gels, but a generous portion of the main ingredient, complemented by a sauce often made from the same product. At Bar Gui, the preparations are perfect and the sauces sublime. Think of butter-soft mackerel with mandarin dressing and ginger oil, or grilled pointed cabbage with Oude Remeker cheese and winter truffle.
The menu reflects De Beer’s Breton and Brabant influences. He takes you along the coast of Brittany, a place where he spent a lot of time as a child and still visits every summer. Bar Gui operates with a fixed menu, a ‘carte blanche,’ where guests are surprised by De Beer’s culinary masterpieces. With this concept, he quickly earned his first chef's hat. In addition to Bar Gui, De Beer is also the owner of Paindemie in Amsterdam. After leaving The Breda Group, he chose to become an independent entrepreneur to be his own boss again.
